So Long Madison!!

Wow!! Tyler and Amanda, 1 month before moving to Madison!!

We are down to our last 2 days in Madison, WI. And now for a re-cap. :)

Tyler and I moved here over 10 years ago, in July of 1998. Tyler had just graduated High School and I had just graduated Beauty School . It was a very crazy time, and we were both soooo excited to start our new life together. Over these years that we have been here, there have been so many wonderful things that we have done. Tyler has recieved his Bachelors, Masters, and now his PHD degrees. Along with writing many papers and recieving awards for his accomplishments in his Eduacation. I worked at 3 different jobs until we decided to start a family.

We were engaged in Madison back in 2001, married in 2003 and bought our first house here in Madison in 2002. In Madison we welcomed our first baby Tolkien into our lives in 2005, and 3 years later Talulah arrived in Madison as well.

I believe we will miss our trips to the Terrace this summer to eat bagels and watch the sail boats go by. The morning commute to Engineering every morning, afternoon, and evening to drop Tyler off....(Although I say I wont miss that, I know I will). Badger Saturdays, when Madison is painted red. The Sundance Roof top for Coctails, and the Village for Cocktails. ;) Star Cinema movies, and the popcorn! The 2 minnute Trip to Starbucks every morning, where I made lots of drive thru buddies. And of course Elver Park Fireworks on 4th of July.

Our beautiful neighborhood in the Fall, where if you stood in the middle of our little street, you would swear you were on a movie set. And mostly the way our beautiful old house smells, when all the windows are open in the summer time around dusk and the breese sends all the smells from the flowers, and the herb garden outside dancing through our living room. Unfogettable.

To our friends, you all have made Tyler and I feel at home here in Madison and we love you so much. Here are some inside toasts to all of you... To late nights playing board games and dancing in the living room, Guitar Hero Concerts. To coffee talk for hours, and haircuts and colors in my living room salon. To teachings of Football and how its played over cookies and coffee at work. To countless hours of wedding planning, and taking road trips to try on dresses. To many, many, many trips in to try on fabulous jewelry and talking about life. To birthclass stories (I am not available to be your Doula!) ;) To having babies at the same time and talking eachother through the difficult days. To Olive Garden, and Biaggis, and and the martinis we had there. To laughing til we cried, which I can say I have done with many of you! To front desk/back room chit chat at work, and staying close after we all left. To Grey's nights and Game nights, Girls nights and Lost Nights. Thank you all for every memory we have with you here.

You are all always welcome in our new home. Minneapolis needs a little Madison to come and shake things up. We will miss you all, but we will be back lots!!! We love you, see you later.
