Yes, as most of you know, he was not an easy baby from the moment my water broke! But.... he has turned into quite the wonderful little boy. ;) I wouldn't say life is perfect and everything about parenthood is amazing... but I will say that being Tolkien's mama has made an unbelievable difference in the way I look at life.
Its one thing to say, sleep on it and everything will look better in the morning, but its another to see this little boy who can have 150 tantrums in a day, yell at perfect strangers, not eat dinner, go to bed sulking....... And wake up so excited for his day to begin that it would seem his pajamas might bust right off!! That is quite something,,, and it gives me motivation to start my mornings the same.... if I can. ;) He makes us laugh, and always has something interesting to say...... he definitly keeps us on our toes. Plus he is one fabulous big brother!
He is a very happy, loving, and smart little guy, and we do enojoy our times that we spend together as a family... We hope Tolkien has a wonderful birthday, This one is the first one he will probably actually remember!! Happy Birthday Tolkien Ray!! We Love you!!
This picture, although a bit creepy, has an even creepier story... I was upstairs, when I kept hearing the door open and closing downstairs. Not sure if it was the neighbors or not, I went downstairs to check on Tolkien. When I went downstairs, he was looking pretty guilty, and he had the camera in his hand. I figured he had gone outside and taken some photos, and thats what he was trying to hide. When I looked at the camera, I saw this picture!!! Very CREEPY!! I said "Tolkien, who took this picutre of you??" And very casually Tolkien relpied... "Oh I took it mama, I just used the timer." Man, this kid is good... It took me about a month to learn the timer!! Yikes. Whats next!
