Adventures in parenting!
Yesterday Tyler and I were sitting in the living room enjoying some old episodes of the "Office" when Tolkien took a trip into the bathroom. Now usually when this happens, he either...
(a) washes his hands a million times(b) looks out the window for squirrels
(c) looks for my make-up to put on
And you thought I would say, go to the bathroom!
But this time, things went a bit differently. Tolkien must have really been looking for some privacy, because he locked himself in. Now, because its an older house, we have no key for the bathroom. So Tyler ran around the back of the house while I spent 3 minutes trying to explain to a 2 1/2 year old how to unlock a door. When he got to the back windo of the bathroom, he tried to climb in the window, but that was locked as well. By the miracle of Tolkiens abilitly to communicate Tyler was able to tell Tolkien how to unlock the window so Tyler could climb in.
Finally when Tyler got inside, he saw Tolkien's reason for privacy, he needed a new hair style. Unfortunatly he didnt listen to his hairstyling mom when she said less is more when it comes to product, and he wound up with all of dad's hair wax in his hair. What an afternoon! Enjoy the pics!

When did you meet your best friend??
Tolkien always ready for a photo op!!
So this weekend, we decided to introduce Talulah to her new best friend Varrah Claire. Our friends David and Erika came for a wonderful visit, and the girls just got along splendidly. Unfortunatly when it came time to taking pics, things didnt work out so well. But they are still pretty cute in the same out fit and all. Tolkien had to get his face time with the camera too, concidering it was time to show off the new hair do!!! Hope you are all well!!

Where does the time go?
Yep, thats what they keep telling me!
Okay mom, enough with the bows!!
Well finally some new pictures to post! Things are going well, but the time seems to fly out the window and by the time everyone is settled in the evenings, I seem to lose the energy to post new pics! But time also makes things easier, and these past two days have certainly showed me that. Life is starting to get closer to normal and the recovery process is going well. Tolkien is a very loving brother and has a lot to say to us about his new sister. Enjoy the new pictures!
